I think that would be a Ganoderma sp.

 

Do you have the opportunity to go back & cut a wedge/slice to show the flesh & tube layer?

Are you thinking a young ganoderma sp? The underside of the growth is a bit lighter than the top and it did feel a bit ganoderma like. I'll cut into it next week and post the results. Thanks

Possibly a slow mal-forming Gano
