I had a Firestone SAT (that shows you how old I am!!) vulcanised umpteen years ago on the understanding it was for off road use only. The fitter said they would normally only vulcanise larger tyres like truck and excavator ones.

I ran a set on my Series 2A SWB pick up for a year or so and competed in trials regularly as well play days and I always said the only thing that got the truck stuck was me! It would go anywhere on those tyres.

 

When I got my first 90 I put them on that but after a few hairy moments on wet roads at roundabouts I decided they had to go and replaced them with Michelin XCLs.

Yep they were not the best on wet roads,good in the mud though!
