AO1 Planting

Recommended Posts

Evening,

I'm assuming that if you are on the old RFS Level 2 course then you still do need the practical quals in order to get the full certificate? If so, then I would be interested in a place on A01, but only if you don't need to get all the practical quals before the old RFS 'qualification end date' of 31st Dec 2012. I can't afford to put myself through everything I would need before the end of this year.

I know you need to complete the thoery part before 31/12/12, but does anyone know if you need to complete the practical part before then too?

It would seem that the RFS have changed the practical test criterea they require for people to obtain their RFS cert. Here is their criterea

Obviously this is in addition to the theory level 2 in arboriculture.

Interesting. They've pulled out the forestry tractor and base unit tickets by the look of it. Also made the rest of the list more flexible as AO1 was mandatory, now it's any "AO" so long as you do one.

Think I'm still up for tree planting though, subject to price.
