Forestry Equipment Grants in Wales

Hi,

 

Been researching grants for forestry equipment in Wales lately.

 

Results:

 

WEBS II (Wood Energy Business Scheme) - Link

 

Only for yard equipment involving wood fuel processing, not forestry machinery. Firewood will be part of the business anyway, so have completed the EOI (Expression of Interest) form. Waiting to hear back.

 

Amount: sky is the limit

 

Local Council

 

They've run out of funding and have no idea when the Welsh Assembly are next popping by for a cuppa, a chat and a handout.

 

Local Investment Fund

 

Have completed the EOI (Expression of Interest) form. Waiting to hear back.

 

Amount: between £1,000 and £5,000

 

Match Funding

 

Haven't been able to find any organisations that provide this yet.

 

Anyone else got any funding leads, particularly for forestry?

As far as I know there are no specific forestry grants in Wales at the moment.

Looked into the The Rural Development Plan but they only considerd you for a grant if you own land! So much for a well thought out rural development plan.
