Fungi Ident

Recommended Posts

I need some help Identifing this fungus please. I have looked in the Fungi Directory however I'm still unsure as to what it is. It's on the surface roots of a mature Beech if that helps (which also has Meripilus).

So far I have looked in the following books

 

Manual of wood decays in trees

 

Collins complete guide to british mushrooms and toadstools

 

Diagnosis of ill health in trees

 

and Rogers Mushrooms online.

 

my other fungus books are at home with isn't helping :confused1:
