Hey guys,

was doing my best to remove a clematus from a walnut the other day when i nother that almost every single branch union had all the bark removed from the top of the union, it looks like its happened a while back now as theres woundwood peeking through from under some of them, but is have never seen anything like it before and have no idea what could have caused it?

ill do my best to get some pictures this week as they would be a lot easier than trying to describe to any decent affect.

if anyone has any thoughts or ideas id be well interested to hear them as im stumped. basically!

cheers guys
