Warfrin! (Blood Thinners)

Hi just wondered how many people out there that are involved in tree work that take anticoagulants ( Blood Thinners) for any reason. I had my second heart opp about a year ago and got a mechanical valve along with some other things, subsequently I now required to take Warfrin daily. If there is anyone on anticoagulants, how do you find it with every day cutting and climbing ? also if you are not but have an opinion on working with someone in tree work that is at a higher risk of heavily bleeding due to anticoagulants therapy.

I use to go out with a girl who used to take anti blood clotting stuff, a paper cut would bleed for a long time,

I'd be cool with it I'd just get some celox in the first aid kit

Hi Al,

My cousin has been on it for more than 20 years now and although he's not a tree surgeon he runs marathons and as far as i know the only problem he ever had was when he forgot to take it and suffered an aneurysm , that was way back in the early days and the lesson was learned .
