Hi just wondered how many people out there that are involved in tree work that take anticoagulants ( Blood Thinners) for any reason. I had my second heart opp about a year ago and got a mechanical valve along with some other things, subsequently I now required to take Warfrin daily. If there is anyone on anticoagulants, how do you find it with every day cutting and climbing ? also if you are not but have an opinion on working with someone in tree work that is at a higher risk of heavily bleeding due to anticoagulants therapy.

Hi Al,

My cousin has been on it for more than 20 years now and although he's not a tree surgeon he runs marathons and as far as i know the only problem he ever had was when he forgot to take it and suffered an aneurysm , that was way back in the early days and the lesson was learned . :001_smile:
