Tried a few out today, I maybe wrong but the double overhand is the same as a double fishermans?

 

If it is the case doing it the double overhand way is nice and simple.

Yep, double overhand is the same as the double fishermans. Personally, I prefer tying the double fishermans way. Dunno why, but it just seems to set and dress easier.

I just have another eye splice on the tail of my lanyard. Probably not technically a stopper knot but its not going through my cinch so I'm happy and it gives me a few more options with my lanyard.

Might it not get stuck in the Cinch if pulled in under load, so you'll not be able to pull it back out?

Yeah I am sure anything is possible but I run a pretty long lanyard around 6m so it is not that common to use the whole length and I am pretty aware when I am getting close to the end.

 

Having said that I will do a little test and see if I can get the splice to run through the cinch and let ya know.

Do a proper test - full bounce on it with a metre of slack and see if it jams.

Or just keep a crab in it.... That you can keep it clipped out of the way on ya harness. But I wager that there is no chance a splice will go through the cinch on 10mm but good to see ya test it bro
