Yes and no the beach is somebody else's but in the last 4 years ive been felling all the timber we use in our firewood so its small scale really. But a mate of mine has just bought a timber trailer for his artic so its something i am interested in doing more of.

im just starting out on the fire wood, i have a load of mixed hardwood coming on saturday (ash oak a bit of birch) but i dont think 26tonne will be enough for me. i am open to all advice and help any one can give me.....like a free load of hard wood lol. Do you know dave garrett

No where is he from how much are you paying for your mixed hardwood make sure its not got loads of pop or willow in it it all burns but you don't want to pay top money for it . My advice would be get it split as early in the year as possible get it where there is plenty of air and off the floor. When you are dealing with customers be straight with them about the size of the load and how dry it is and when you run out of seasoned don't sell green as they will not come back.

Thanks,that all sounds like good advice to me. I paid £46 per tonne delivered.
