Diesel in a petrol !!

If they have already got it and drained it it should be fine with new fuel and a fresh spark plug

 

Have they put a new plug in it? if not i would make sure they do that before incurring any cost for stripping it

yes its already drained and they put a new plug in when i was there it still failed to fire

will also need a new fuel filter

did this years ago had a wee honda mt50 asked my uncle to get me a can of petrol poured it in wouldnt start after an hour or so proding and poking at it sniffed the fuel, daft old sod! Gallon of diesel! drained it out ran but was a bit smokey for a while! (well more so than usual for a two smoke )

it should run ok if you have drained the tank just check if it has fuel filter canister bowl that will need draining to as they can hold up to half a litre of fuel so that you do get surging on hills what brand is it i may be able to advise you more
