I beg to differ Jason.

Although not possessing an encyclopeadic knowledge on the subject, I have come across a wealth of annual statistical annalysis compiled by the HSE.

R.I.D.D.O.R is becoming particularly robust, possibly not comprehensive admittedly, I'd imagine a fair number of occurances get under the radar.

But stats are being recorded, and are industry specific.

Quote "...the HSE consider climbing Arborists to run an annual risk of 1/120 of serious injury"

In bold as this fact needs to be absorbed by us all, green or hardened.

Hello the monk E. After a serious accident I wrote to the HSE for stats on chainsaw accidents. They sent a piece of A4. Interestingly, their US counterparts sent war and peace. Admittedly this was in 2001. If things have changed, where can we access the HSE stats? I'm no accident magnet, but I've been in or around more than my fair share of chainsaw mess. Don't remember one incidence of the HSE investigating the how and why.

Does their Stats just record there was an accident? Or do they record the important information about how it happened?

Curious.
