So they don't present any harm to the tree unless it's in a really poor condition?

 

No I meant in general not specifically the ones on the photo?

 

Fungi and trees live in a state of equilibrium in the ecology, niether one nor the other getting the upper hand UNLESS something goes pete tong for the tree, which can be a multitude of things from abiotic (wind, snow etc and biotic (fungi, bacteria rodents deer etc)factors

 

a fungi on a tree does not mean the tree is dying or dangerous, though it does suggest there is an issue to be investigated, and in the urbanised or human environments man tends to be the issue or at least his pressure on the soil, atmoshpere, water etc that alters the trees situation and benificial (mycorrhizea)macro and micro fungal communities
