hi

i've a couple of questions for my machine and that of my colligues.

firstly, my colligue has an entec 150dh (i dont know the year). 2 days running now its been fine first thing in the morning, but when we have come to do a second chip-up, its got no roller feed. they will run backwards but not forwards. we cant see anything obviouse and its not the relay in the system, we changed that as he'd read thats sometimes the problem. any ideas?

secondly. i have a timberwolf 125ph, 2010 model. its a great machine! the only glitch i seam to have is when starting from cold (first time or 2 in the day) it starts fine, revs up, rollers start fine... then after 2 or 3 branches it will cut out. it will do this 2 or 3 times. then it will run fine for the rest of the day. again, any ideas?

cheers

neil

Hi Breton Monkey

Entec 150 DH - If you have checked the relay and found it to be ok please double check the connections to the relay base to ensure they are secure and free from contamination. Other things to check are ALL the switches in the circuit, check for mechanical operation and continuity plus check for a loose wire / connection as all the switches are linked and if one has a loose connection it will effect the others , dont forget to check the safety bar switch as well.

125 PH machine - Would suggest you check the choke mechanism is working on the engine, also check the belt tension on the hydraulic pump, check hydraulic filter is not partially obstructed, check hydraulic oil level is ok.

Hope this helps

we checked the relay connections where good befor putting in the new, the switch box we checked all 4 switches, could it be the one in the safty bar system on the drop gate? the rollers have force in them when they run backwards so i guess the mechanics are good, could it possibly be the hydrolic valve activator to change the valve to forward?

its the engine that totaly cuts out, not the hydrolic system, but the choke is certainly turning off propperly, the engine sounds right and upto speed, but it just seams to turn its self off, lake a safety has cut in.

Hi Breton Monkey

The 150 machine you seem to be on the right track with, indeed check the safety bar switch and the hydraulic valve set up.

The 125 machine, I would suggest that you check the fuel filter is not partially blocked but we are not the experts to give advise on the engine itself, you can call the engine supplier we use as they have their own help line, the number is 0844 2092514 or 2092515 and the guys can advise you further, they will need the serial number of the engine so be prepared.
