I feel for him there. A good friend of mine had this a year ago.... it's a very serious condition where a portion of bowel gets inflamed and bleeds.

 

My mate had the section removed in the end as he was needing blood transfusions where he was losing so much blood. Then had a colostomy bag for a few months..... then a reversal (where they join the bowel back together again).

 

He is now pretty much back to normal.

 

Hope you get better soon Andy and hopefully you won't need the op.
