going full time

hi, i would like to talk about your moment when you made the decision to work for your business full time.

 

For those that are thinking about starting your own business or are currently holding down a full time job and working hard on the weekends promoting and doing your own jobs at what point do think about working full time for yourself and how much of a risk is it?

 

either way when it comes to business there isnt any gaurantee and theres always risks to take somewhere along the line, whether thats taking a loan on equipment or doing it for yourself fulltime

My decision was made very fast when I found out that my income at a part time level was not going to support my life style I had grown accustom to. From there on the hours and types of jobs increased averaging 60 to 70 hours a week. Presently still averaging at least 70 hours a week. I do not remember ever working a 40 hour work week since I have been full time employed.

i was working as a subby climber, as the number of my own jobs increased the less subby work i was doing

I'm not sure why guys are so keen to start up. We employ a guy, he earns more than i do, works less hours, no stress, doesn't have to deal with customers and when he leaves work that’s it. No looking at jobs, doing paperwork, mending broken gear. Its not all fun and games!
