It dosen't look like any of the pathenogenic varieties I've read about.

 

My guess is that it's probably not doing much in the way of direct harm other than taking advantage of exposed dead material.

 

Based on a quick browse through Phillips - rather than any useful knowledge :001_smile:, I'd guess it's some kind of Web cap (Cortinarius).

Thanks! Its an Oak that im inspecting 1-2 times a year its in a private garden but L/A is responsible for it beeing safe and maintained.

Well i bought some books....and a little help from a member of the swedish funghi association:blushing:

Not quite sure what u mean?

 

As for safety? It lives on dead wood, often found on oak stumps...slow rotting i would say..so for safety, minor issue.

 

Will get some pics up on the beuty....:sneaky2:, the trees been molested over the years (to strong wording?), well it could have been a nice monolith or a "monnard" instead of just delimbed.
