If your struggling to find somewhere and just need to practice on the weekend, you could get some kite cord from one of the watersports shops in Weymouth and a fishing weight.

 

I'm crap with a throw line so can't offer you any tips!! A big-shot catapult is on my list of things to buy!

cheers dave, i'm probably going to go grab one tomorrow as i want to take it back up to kingswood next week to keep practicing, its the only bit so far that is letting me down and i wont be much use on my assesment if i cant fix the problem. Would be good if i could come and have a chat once i'm done up there though. i did try and get back to you a few months back but kept getting your awnser phone.
