Technical Report required for Felling with steel cables

I am looking to contract someone to produce a report for safe systems of work in regards to felling large trees with steel cables. I want an over engineered fail proof methodology displaying forces on steel cables and equipment choices with diagrams and calculations to stop large trees falling backwards when felling.

 

I know I can stick a 6 tonne strop 2/3 up a tree and d-shackle a 50 meter 18mm steel cable to a 20 tonne excavator and have a top notch tree feller but that aint good enough for what I need.

 

Something like a 5 cable set up with may be 4 ground anchors and one main pullling cable.

 

I will give full details with who ever takes on the report.

What sort of ground anchors? IMHO everything else can be predicted. Tirfir pull, weight bias of tree, "angle of attack" of cable, and the strength of all the hardware in the system etc etc. Its the anchors that are often the unknown quantity and weak point. especially if things such as vector pull isnt fully understood or accounted for. (really, really, really important)

 

The worst thing is that the ground changes so much, so ground anchors effectiveness does to.

 

My "record" was using 3 50m climbing lines and nearly 50 slings and biners to make a self equalizing system using gorse bushes (none bigger than 40mm) to winch over a leaning pine.

 

I stink at math, wish I could help!
