I know someone who wont sell much firewood this side of Christmas, but once all the others have exhausted their stocks, he will shift it all in a month or so, at his price. He plays the waiting game, and allows the market to dictate to the customer how dear their logs will be, and they cant go anywhere else as they've all sold out :001_smile:

I THINK THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IN PRICE,AS ITS OBVIOUS TO SEE, IS SOME OF US ARE TREE SURGEONS WHO ARE SELLING A BY PRODUCT FOR SAY £80 cubic meter, and have been paid to take it down, so when its gone its gone, when it comes to buying it in, i respect the £50 per ton cost, as its what it costs, and we all need to make a living, and I can see why its then £100 a cube,,,the local market to were ever you are dictates the price,,,at the end of the day, something is only worth what you can get for it!!!
