Hi Guys posted this but it never appeared so if this comes up with the other one sorry :blushing:

I have a Ms230 which has just developed a problem so I thought I would ask the people who know before I open her up !! when I start up if I try to increase the revs it starts to spin up then dies!!!

then it takes a number (3-4) restarts before it will get up to full throttle.

After it gets to full throttle it will start and run fine until it is left for a good while (1-2 hours) then we are back to starting and trying to rev !!!

I am sure its fuel related and im going to strip it down tomorrow all being well, just looking to see if anyone has had this before and if so what to look for

Cheers in advance for any info

Worth checking the breather - it is a little rubber pipe sticking out of the fuel tank on the left hand side with the filter cover removed. It could be the early sign of the carb boot failing so be careful - worth also checking the fuel line, filter.

The L screw may just need a tweak anti clockwise but make sure it isn't well off factory setting and that you havent got a varying idle mixed with over revving at the top end!

Oh - it may also be the gauze filter in the carb!

Cheers thanks for the reply,

Stripped and cleaned it and pressure check it, never found anything obvious but running like a dream again now (fingers crossed) :001_smile:

Must have disturbed some crud in there somewhere

Thanks again
