Generally speaking, you will get quite a bit of movement on timber over 12% MC. It's very very difficult to get air dried timber that dry, and just about impossible in Scotland.

Cheers Jonathan, mine has been in a poly tunnel all this year and last week was around 10-11% but guess it will soon be getting wetter again as autumn moves in.

 

Could well be time to get it fitted if its going to warp a bit.

ONce it is down to 10-11% you could happily take it out of stick and bring it indoors, even if you dont use it right away.

Not sure I have time to get it cut down to floor boards and fitted before winter if I was honest, but the tunnel will soon be having the doors closed so should keep it something like dry.

 

At present I have work fully booked until the new year so I guess its starting to look like a spring time job now.

 

Hope your mate gets sorted with some nice stuff, and does it sound like there will be no chance of pics even when finished Tom?

Well I might ask him if i could take a few select ones, but I think he may well be reticent about the idea. Its a shame, as this place is truly stunning. The vision and workmanship in it are really eye opening.
