You cant just walk up the rope though with 2 pantins because one wont pass the other on the rope. You would have to flick them off the rope every step and then put them back above the other.

Yea that makes sense, I had a blonde moment I guess haha. Do you guys use it on your stronger leg?

I use it on my right because thats the side the tail of my rope is on. I will say though be careful because with the pantin pulling down sometimes the SJ doesnt bight and you can give yourself a heart attack if your not expecting it when you sit back in your harness.

The only thing I don't like about the SJ is when your tail end is running though a fork or your chogging on a straight stem the SJ is really hard to break. Tried using a small kara on my leg loop to help keep the tail from being to tight when going through forks but then the SJ doesn't bight and you have to dress it before you sit back in the harness. Any idea how to solve the fork issue. ??

pull through the amount of rope you need to get where you are going on the other side of the fork before going through it, simples:001_smile:

You should really not be doing that!!!

 

The SJ is not designed for, that's why it doesn't bite. More worrying is that it could fail resulting in you falling.

You must revert to a rope hitch or a chocker system when doing stem work.

I dont use it for chogging down stems. flipline with prussic and climbing line with grigri choked on stem below flipline, thats my favourite setup.
