Yes it does, try and do whatever necessary to buy the twin roller, I had a single roller one years ago and they just do not pull in half as well, conifer was the worst. A twin roller is a useful machine, single roller a constant source of frustration.

I disagree. I have always had vermeer chippers which have a single top roller, and it works fine. I find that the twin roller machines let loads of mess get through the bottom. I much prefer single roller machines.

We spent 3 months looking for one and missed out on many.

 

Put a wanted ad up and sit back and wait. You'll be surprised at how many guys started out with a wee chipper and it's now stood in a barn somewhere forgotten.

 

Jog there memory, avoid eBay. Here is the beat resource by far.
