thought id share my thoughts on my new toy as theres always posts about what splitter to buy .

After alot of googling i finaly made my mind up on a wallenstein wx540 and there is no doubt its a great machine , really well built and hasnt struggled at anything yet :thumbup1: tows nicely on the road and is actually road legal compared to other chinese copies that are only suitable up to 10 mph ,

Andrew is a great guy to deal with and always replied to calls and emails promptly which is a rareity these days ,all in all im dead chuffed and well worth spending a little extra and getting something designed for the job :thumbup1:

for those of you looking at some of the ones on ebay at around 1500 quid i would seriously suggest saving up a little extra as ive used a couple of those before and they fall to bits within weeks

good job wallenstein :thumbup1:

thanks again to andrew chester

Can you PM me. I am based in Newick and am seriously thinking of the Wallenstien. Just want to have a chat without boring evryone on a thread. Would appreciate a phone chat and maybe see the thing in action. Trying to see as many as poss before the Wood fair at Bently or I may buy Jonesies MTD at the show after a few beers!

Would really appreciate seing it running but understand if you don't want to demo. Working in Bexhil Monday if you're around. If not could let me know the real cycle time (not claimed time). You still happy with it after splitting a few ton?
