Couldn't get it off. I didn't want to thrash it too much.

Yer man down the road reckons he can get the bits no problem. £30 to fix it he reckons. I'll go and see him Monday.

 

if you can't get one I'm almost certain a ryobi rcs 4046c one will fit approx £8 not the chinese equivalent where are you located---close? p.s anyone else wantig to give a komatsu/zenoah away give me a call

up by j16 M6 did you have any luck? I have a duff one which would at least do for comparison if your stuck

Black smoke indicates they have not yet decided. Only white smoke means there is a new Pope. Could also be your turbo has blown it's seals.

Oh, now there's a surprise. He can't get hold of the bits.

I suggested that a Ryobi one might fit and he said "if you get one we'll fit it for you. We're not going to order bits to see if they fit."

I don't think I'll be taking anything else there.

I managed to get hold of one today from the dealer that sold the saw. He had one in his drawer, it's a Briggs & Stratton number 285155121ZE and is also used on other saws by the looks of it. He had some parts website up which showed half a dozen companies offering the same part. They are available on ebay too. I don't know why the Komatsu parts list shows 285155120, maybe a supersession?
