I wish you all the best in finding one,& if I sounded negative that was not my intent,just urging caution as theres good & bad with the landys.:001_smile:

 

Didn't take it negatively at all! I appreciate all comments!

 

I bought a 110 before which was meant to be mint but turned out to have a rotten bulkhead and rear cross member! Live and learn!

Hi, that 139 tipper in thetford norfolk is just down the road from me if you want anyone to take a look at it and report back befor you trek over to these parts, i'ver had a few landrovers so have an idea of what i'm looking.

I wish I had more money to spend on one!!

 

I know I'm not going to find a minter for £5k but a mechanically sound 300tdi with rough body should hopefully be about that price. I might give that one on eBay a look for £3.5k and then spend the rest on doing it up. It's been listed a few times with no bids so a deal may be had.

A 300tdi disco can be found cheap for running gear and a mate owes me a full respray so could get it looking nice at least.

wouldn't put a disco rear axle on as its not rated for the weight also propshaft flanges and spring seats are different
