Hello Giorgio.

 

Fine video, thanks for posting.

 

Not sure if David & yourself have spoken already in the posts above, as my Italian is "non così buono"

 

But I was intrigued as to why you did not dismantle the tree before felling ?

 

 

 

Clearing it whilst full limbed on the floor has it's obvious risks & dangers.

Thank you both for your question. From the video you couldn't see very well but I had to keep controlled most of the tree, because there were some plants below it. So there were risks also to dismantle the tree. I didn't cleaned off all the side because I wanted the plant to fasten to the ground after the falling. Once fell in the way I told, it's easier to work it, cutting off little piece at time, no risk. At 2 minutes in the video I prepared the cuts to make the final log fall, I took off the side supports, a little piece at time, I pulled off the log and I broke the cuts prepared before (at 2 minutes in the video). In my opinion it's has been the less dangerous way to work. Thanks, Giorgio :001_smile:
