Not alot to report other than having that large beech felled on Milldown. We were given paperwork on what to look out for on trees this summer. We spotted a lovely Copper Beech today, the only trouble is it has Merip and is in a raised bed. There are a few fruiting bodies away from the tree including one coming out of the tarmac next to the tree. Due to the location it may be left but it may also be felled due to the majority of its root plate in the raised bed.

Nothing major to report in the past few months. Lost another spaniel and thats it. Got some nice pics of the shoot i was at today. Wall to wall blue. The second picture shows what was left from the storms last winter. I wish i had got a before picture but it was a solid lump of douggie fir.

Nice day clearing elder from a sight line on the side of the A350 in Iwerne Minster. Signs and cones out warning motorist that we were working on the side of the road. We were in a 30mph but on the approach in and out of national limit zone. The cars were fine with the minimal lane restriction. The lorries not so.

Lush day walking some rights of way with a colleague in sturminster newton and the surrounding area. On one of the paths we walked through a field with a herd of British White cattle. A mix of Bullocks, heifers and older cows. Even saw a siege of Herons too.

Another job jobbed. Only hacking back brambles away from an access path to the back of peoples properties.

Hmm another limb for a reduction. May get the whole tree reduced by a few metres spotting this lovely hazard beam. It has appeared in the last 48 hours too.
