I like the look of that technique, do you split into a pile then load afterwards? I did something a bit similar with the bucket on the telehandler but I picked up so much mud an crap I didn't do it again.

Of course I want you to say it works really well so I can justify to myself buying a nice new digger!!!

It's tipped out of IBC's that have been in the kiln, then bagged. I wouldn't do it if we didn't have the concrete yard to load from though.

 

I am also thinking of making a screen to tip them onto to grade the bark and shavings out of it after drying, it can all go back in the chip store for the boiler then.

 

Would be easier with no teeth on that bucket though. For the barrow bags I fold the lids into the bag next to it to stop the logs falling between. You get a pretty even fill that way and can drop then straight on a pallet and string/tie round the 4 to make stacking easier.
