Just had a quick read up on the net and a full grown elephant has the largest brain in the world weighing in at 11 lbs a Blue whale can weigh up to 200 tons but still only has a brain that weighs 4 lbs only 1 lb heavier that an adult human. Not trying to make any point and its off thread but interesting none the less :001_smile:

Tis indeed. Jumbos are dead clever. I know a guy who was culling in the 80s in SA. Used to say that if you shot one or two out of a herd then the herd breaks up because they know they are safer on their own. They can also "talk" between herds I am told.

Yeah .223 would be a step in the right direction if the cost of Hmr keeps going up  when I last bought Hmr I was told it had gone up becuse of the price of lead, bit strange because when I asked him how much the Mach 2 had gone up by his reply was that it had gone down :confused1:

Lead, Copper and Powder has gone up big time! I had Vit N160 go from £26 up to £60 a Kilo in the last 5 years.

I did hear high demand from the Army's has caused a lot of the price hikes in ammo.

Shotgun shells have doubled in price in 3 years as well, I used to sell RC4 for £110 per thousand but now they are £230!!!!! Clays are up from £47 to nearer £70 a thousand as well.

Given up selling them now as the fuel for collection wipes out the profit.

I recon its got nothing to do with the army and everything to do with greed, like you ve said the clays have gone up by 50% aswell and I bet that aint because the army are using them :001_rolleyes:

I heard on BBC Radio 2 a bloke suggesting we should ban all firearms. Ban shooting sports, ban archery. Basically trying to get the government to ban any sport that might use a weapon. The only sports left in the olympics would be cycling, hurdles, running, swimming and court sports. would be a very boring olympics.
