1. how much do you pay for a 26t load of unseasoned softwood?

2. how many m3 would that load convert to?

You need to do a search on the forums as these questions have been asked many times before, with a number of differing answers and opinions.

This guide appeared here a while back...

1 SOLID m3 = 1.54 STACKED m3 = 2.5 THROWN m3

1 STACKED m3 = 0.65 SOLID m3 = 1.63 THROWN m3

1 THROWN m3 = 0.62 STACKED m3 = 0.4 SOLID m3

Your 26 ton load might = 26 cu metres, meaning 65 loose cu3? :001_unsure:

Expect to pay approx. £900 for an artic load of Softwood delivered to your yard.

Of course you must have suitable access and space for an artic.

If you're only after single loads then you'll perhaps be quoted a bit more as generally in the trade the quantities would be multiple artic loads which obviously have some efficiencies built in.

Dont forget that you will be paying 20% VAT & if VAT registered you will be selling it at 5%.

If your not already you should go VAT registered.
