on my second pair now in 2 years.

the sole did come away on the first one and looks like its starting again on the second pair. have had them since nov:thumbdown:

laces rot away within weeks and snap when tying up, been tied together 4 times on each boot.

insoles supplied with boot are crap and travel up the boot when you walk so put in some nice soft ones which are really comfy.

dont wear the boots without insoles as they are really hard and uncomfy.

why did i buy a second pair???

cos they are the most waterproof boot i have ever worn and with my insoles in they are comfy, i hate wet feet when working.

i have always had sweat rash with other boots but not had any with these so they are breathable.:001_tt1:

also they are light but only do ground work with me, but i dont think they would last a climber.

sorry salsb for knocking them but that is my honest opinion. would i buy another pair....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................yes!!

why?? feet and no rash.....healthy feet:001_tongue:

hey salsb... if you ever want boots tested give us a shout.. never had a pair of wook boots last more than a year

if you've got a pair that you think haven't lasted as long as they should you could send them to us for an opinion! at the very least we could do a good deal on another pair or something else. there's supposed to be a new Steitz Goretex boot coming soon but they have been saying that for a while. i was hoping to have some for the APF ....?????

I've got a pair of the aquastops, like in the link. i like them, no real problems except the laces constantly breaking. I've replaced these with a pair of flat nylon (I think) laces, a bit like foootball boot laces. they haven't broken yet...

the sole is starting to come away but still not letting any water in yet. i can put my fingers between the rubber and boot in a downwards direction.
