Why don't you try making your hitch, get it the perfect length and then mark and cut at the appropriate point...

There are many lengths, but if you want one to go by then its 1.5m. Then just use longer tails for distels ond shorter for vt etc. 1.5 will do you any hitch you want except long prussiks so its a good measure. Then just buy your cord in 3,6,9m lenghts and you know you will get 2,4,6 hitches out of it.

 

If you use prussiks and want slightly longer ones then 2m lengths.

Bin making prussik loops and a big footlocking loop too, im all so going to try and splice some..... so could end up needing some more lool.

 

kool im sure as i get more into makeing more gear i could end up with a few of them too :lol:

Haha good, thats pretty cool yh i need to get some as i wanna splice some onto one of the pulleys I've got:)
