G30,G40, and G50 refers to the size of the chip 30mmx30mm etc. It also means it has a moisture content of less than 30%.

 

G spec chip is used for a no. of things usually play chip, ornamental chip and smaller scale heating plants. It will cost you anywhere upto 80.00 per ton delivered in.

 

G spec chip is nearly always produced from chipping roundwood that has been felled and stacked to season. It is then chipped to order as being a high value product you don't want vast stores sitting around.

 

Depending on the chipper you will get slivers in the chipping process, some suppliers us included will screen out these slivers and send them for equine use etc.

 

G spec chip is an industry standard specification.
