Need some assistance with ID please. Am I correct in thinking this is A.auricula-judae? It is growing on a Sycamore stump in a Church Yard/Community garden, I want to get people who are involved with the project interested in all phases of the growth cycle and don't want to start off on the wrong foot.

Correct  : also known as Hirneola auricula-judae. And you seem to have photographed two "Nail fungi" too  .

thats a lovely example to, apparently can be eaten and go well in salads

The Chinese (and I) like the Black fungus or Mu-Err (Auricularia polytricha) even better :thumbup1: .
