I know the area well as beat there alot during shooting season. Was only 100 metres away from one of the drives too.

always a bit upsetting to see any crash, from the position of the crash and the nose down position it looks as if it clipped the hedge. Bit of a problem seeing how high you are with an engine in front and wings below.

 

How often do you beat? I'm involved with a large shoot between Banbury and Oxford.

3 days a week on average end of season is normally 5 days a week. And yep hit the hedge as it came into land. Not much of a hole in the hedge but flew directly over the estate HQ

One came down round my way a few weeks ago,maybe 1km from where I was,clipped the willows on a nose dive into a lake,the dog whent nuts & I was oblivious until a passing military chopper started doing circles over the crash zone.

sad loss of life.
