Hi all. My first post and all that so please go easy on me:laugh1: I'm a joiner to trade but would like to get more into tree work ect. How much advantage would having my cs30/31 be to me? I've read online that I should be able to get a grant to fund part of the course. So I guess I'm asking for any advice from you guys in the know. All the best guss

welcome to the forum!

thats the best start mate.. try and get in with a local arb firm afterwards as well and get to know the industry. You will soon get to know the do's and dont's!

but a great bit of advice, when your a groundie, just support your climber as and when, your his eyes and ears, and dont spend all day on your mobile phone whilst at work. Wont win many fans that way... work hard and be safe and accept to work in all weathers!

Cheers for the quick replies. I'm used to being out in all sorts of weather as spent 5 years in the finest Corp of the royal engineers. I will have a look into the cs38 and get saving some more penny's

Cheers for the link. Will have to have a good look at it when I get home as it's a bit to small to read on the old I phone. Any ideas of how to get my foot in the door with a local firm so I can gain more knowledge ?
