If you go for the HPM, it's a lot cheaper on my site, no eBay fees to pay.:001_smile:

Aha, the very man!

Are all 3 legs adjustable? Not just the back one.

Is it 3.6m?

Thanks

As you were, just Googled you.

That does look more useful, my problem is I can't get that close to the hedge to tie on to it.

Sideways on !! if its a 4 meter hedge you can sit on top of the apex of the ladder with one leg either side !

I know this sounds a bit dodgy but believe me its far safer than putting a ladder straight up into the hedge as if you lean back your coming off or if you pull the cutter too hard your gonna come off too !

My bums twitching just reading that.

 It does sound a bit dodgy I know but i think its the safest I have felt when cutting the tops of hedges approx 4 meters up with a long reach cutter , as long as the ladders tied off to the hedge you could put a harness on and use a short strop if it made you feel safer ( although i have never done this ).

Get the biggest ladder possible, in fact get three of them and lash 'em together with some spare rope.

That way you'll never need to risk rope and harness work again!

I think you are right. Well the bit about the biggest I can buy.

There probably is not one ladder for all the jobs, I like the tripod type for use with the long reach hedge cutter, but I don't think they would fit between the hedge and the shed.

So it is the Hailo 12 rung combi and lash meself to the guttering! I'll have to get the shovel out to level the ground a bit
