Efficiency of firewood production

i've got the 1X37 but i would assume the principle behind the belt driven splitter must be the same

Shoot me down if I'm wide of the mark but....

Pto in, direct drive to a shaft that then belt drives the saw blade (these belts we changed), hydraulic pump drives the splitter activated by a foot pedal or trigger in the splitting trough.

im no mechanic mate......i think on mine the pto drives the belts which in turn drive the hydraulic pump?

Didn't think that there are any other belts, I'll get my mate to look and tweak it, but then he cuts wood for money as well!

ahhh...well i am making assumptions that they run on the same principal....more than likely they dont haha

should that be the case then that poor fellow needs to have his cordwood dropped onto a rolling table by one of those csf mini loader things they are great for taking the strain out of lifting and things like that.
