Hi and good eve to you all, i have been topping some landi firs today and my rope and grillons are covered in sap !! any ideas how to clean them off?? i dont want to use a cleaner that is to strong or corrosive i just want to free them up again. Kind regards and you all be extra safe out there. Cheers boxhead.

Give them a soak in warm water,bath heat,with washing powder ,agitate it aroung a bit every now & then,half hour ought to do it,then rinse well in warm water & stack to dry.

cheers Geoff will give it a go, gotta find the washing powder first as i am not allowed near the washing machine or powder cuz too many knobs and buttons !!

dont wash your ropes in any old washing powder as you may cause damage , and end up with a clean looking weak rope. Use a ph neutral wash power or a rope cleaning product.
