theres a fair few bent bars in the shed that still have plenty of life left in them, we also have a 3pl patu stroke delimber, doesnt get used much, but the bar has been bent a few times on it,

I have had a number of bent bars in, I use a meter rule and a big vice, find out where the bend is - generally around the location slot and then put it in a vice and give it some by pulling or pushing on it.

Do it bit by bit and as long as it isn't really bad then it should get knocked back in to shape - never done one over 20" though but have done a few laminated with slight bends - sounds expensive:thumbdown:

yeah most of the time they can be bent back by hand, 2 weeks ago falling some ash and one grabbed the bar and gave him a bend, put him between through the side of the grab on the forwarder and gave him a pull, jobs a good un

a quick update on the bar. the vice was not enough force. the bar under the transporter van not enough. the bar under the tree that bent the bar with car jack not enough. took it to a blacksmith today and he had to bend the bar so much we both expected it to crack and the bar is just about straight. phew
