Aah yes, but you'll never get it tight enough like that..., and its not the staples that hold it tight, its the knot you tie in it when it has passed right round the post, the staples ought never be hammered right in as this doenst allow the wire to flex at all, and also damages the wire....

 

i miight have to contest that tom, i used to get wire taughter using a hammer than i did with purpose built strainers.... but then i was allways very old school in some ways, and you just get used to the ways you know.... i used to be able to break concrete quicker and more efficiently with a bar than most of the others could with a breaker. its what works for the individual i suppose:001_smile:
