Help with book keeping and company vehicle

Recommended Posts

I wish to put my own vehicle (landrover) through my books. It will be used entirely for the business.

Can anyone please enlighten me on how best to do this please? Do I sell it to my business? If so if there is insufficient funds in the business what do I do then? How much depreciation is acceptable and how do I show this in my books.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I know that you can out 25% of the value through your books this year, but you can put 25% through for each of the following three years. I would give the tax office a ring, in the past they have been incredabably helpful with various questions that i have had. And they do not charge for there time, unlike accountants.
