I'm in Devon, the tree is in Exeter. Starting take down on Wednesday. Will plead with the guy to let me plank some of it at least.

Well she is down. I have two nice pieces I'm going to chainsaw mill but the butt came down in two pieces. One 3.5 ton

And the other at 5.4 ton

The big bits are off for carving as no one would mill it for us.

Thanks woodman, I'm in Devon so a bit of a trek for either of us really. Shame as I reckon it has some good value as it's 15' by 5'2" for the big one and 12' for the smaller lump.
