and even more respect for my lovely wife!! Quite fancied the look of these for a while and just asked her what she thought of them...

"looks like a V8 stove" she says:thumbup1::thumbup1:

Obvious why I married her!

I personally love the Bullerjan stoves. My uncle in Germany has two in his house, and despite having a very modern woot pellet central heating system, he only ever uses the larger of the two Bullerjans, even when it's minus 20 outside. They are completely unique too - nothing comes close IMO for combining style and industrial craftsmanship:

You sir are a star i had the pleasure of being in the same room as one of these in germany but hadnt remembered the name ! i loved it so warm so good on the eye and fantastic center peice to the room 1

That Bullerjan is a beauty, love the style, my brother has seen one for real and you see the tubes round it, he says they draw in cold air from the bottom and blow it hot out the top.

I would be getting one of these or a Scandinavian manufacted stove.

They're very nice.....saw them 6 or 7 years ago at the Hearth and Home trade show........fancy one myself.

Out of the boiler stoves you've narrowed down to i'd go for the Charnwood......i personally wouldn't touch a Hunter.........the Aarrow are okay. How about Dunsley? They're a solid stove and made in Huddersfield.

Naa, Scandinavian stoves are cast iron and better designed.

We have a Jotul F 118 that heats half the downstairs and all of the upstairs, in a fairly large house.

No pipes, boilers, pumps and complications, with plenty heat and ability to cook during power cuts.
