I've got a Warn XD9000i on the defender. 3175kg line pull. It has been used to pull a few trees over and a few tree surgeons out of the mud.

 

It was on the landy when I bought it and has proved useful.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

 

Think Im going to go for a Goodwinch 12,000 Tds winch with steel cable. Rol on the Indoor Offroad Show in Stafford in March.

 

I can't fit anything to the back of the gearbox as my overdrive, sits in that position already.
