Is this normal and ok to do or will they tell me to bugger off?

 

I have never touched a chainsaw :laugh1:and i want to get these tickets to help me get a job.

If you mean going straight into the assesment without training then no, you wont pass.

 

But if you mean your going to have some training, then assesment, then yes, you wont be the first person to do that without no experience. Alot of people will be in your position...

Of course it's ok, no one is expecting you to be an expert from the word go. The whole point of training is to teach you, not just to give you some paperwork so chill, take it all in and enjoy yourself. Oh and good luck:)

Yeah i meant do the 5 day course, looking to do it at Myerscough, however they dont rent out equipment it seems :confused1:. I was reading through past posts and see comments of people struggling who already have experience...got me wondering.

You will need your own kit for the course. You should familiarize yourself with it ALL before hand so that when you turn up it isn't as much to take in. Look into some previous posts regarding saws and parts etc so you know what everything is...
