HI GATH yes mate for the woods and road work and for trailer work but im massey man seen alot of :thumbdown: tractors this week so im off too yorkshire too have look and massey hold money well and cheap part 390 is good to work on thanks jon :thumbup:

Think the problem with the 390t is most have been used on stock farms. So lead a hard life and suffer from rust being in the myer all the time. Maybe worth spending a bit more time and money looking for the right tractor.

Personally I avoid turbo's on older tractors. If you think a 390 has not got enough grunt for the job you are doing then I would go for the 6 cyl 399. Bearing in mind the higher fuel consumption of a 6 cyl and the price of diesel is only going one way. Reason I got my MB Trac 1000's was because of the fuel efficiency of the Merc engine.
