tracked bobcat

hi a mate of mine has a tracked bobcat amd is may be looking in to getting a mulcher and a stumpgrinder for it hes got bucket and grab for it and is very handy on alot of jobs av jst put this up for him to see if theres any work out there for this set up and if the pice was rite would anybody use it?

Hi Mark, to run other stuff on the front of any skid steer, you have to make sure that you have the right hydraulic flow/pressure. Another thing to check is that you have adequate cooling and hydraulic fluid capacity. The average skiddy is great for grabbing, lifting and carrying but may not have the cojones to run a mulcher or stumpy! If the have, then they can be a valuable tool.

 

The other thing to check out is how much competition you would have and the rates that they are getting.

hi peter the bob cat is a good 1 nd is set up with high flow and coolant so is rite for the stump grinder and mulcher ive seen them used at the apf there a realy good peice of kit. realy good for understore clearence work. and vegitation clearence. just thort id put a post on here see if there could be a use for them for anyone on here as for rates think would be some were round £30-£70p/h dependin on what it was usd for.
