yes, i also worked, scrimped and saved, paid for my own tickets, ppe, equipment, saws and now have paid or at least am paying (monthly) for my degree and whilst I appreciate that not everyone can do this i am proud to say that i have worked hard to get to where i am today without anybody else help but my own.

so in other words, awesome first post:thumbup:

I likewise worked, scrimped and saved for around 5 years to get my tickets (CS40 to date) However i am in process of hopefully seeking funding from Lantra to pay for my Arb Assocition Technicians Ceretificate, so try LANTRA, they have loads of locally sourced funding and training organisations, to help people in our wonderfull but challenging industry..

awsome thanks guys!

scrimping and saving is second nature to me but when you work 6 days a week and still don't have enough its time to get more qualified and better paid!

My father always used to say if you need more money work harder.... then my nan said don't work harder work smarter! less days for more money that way you get to see your family!

Thanks for all the help its very much appriciated :)
